Luna y el Frisbee

Luna has borrowed the frisbee to Laia to run racings. We could see Laia a month ago in this POST, in which we talked about Dog Frisbee. Today we leave the link to the website of the Spanish Association of DiscDog (or DogFrisbee), which you can access by clicking HERE, if you want to deepe in this sport we can share with our doggy friends.

Luna ha tomado prestado el frisbee de Laia para echarse unas carreritas. A Laia pudimos verla hace un mes en este POST, en el que ya hablamos de la modalidad Dog Frisbee. Hoy os dejamos el enlace a la web de la Asociación Española de DiscDog (o DogFrisbee), a la que podéis acceder pulsando AQUÍ, por si queréis profundizar en este deporte que podemos compartir con nuestros amigos perrunos.

Dog Frisbee

Dog Frisbee is a sport in which discs are released to the air to be captured for our dog. We could see an exhibition of the discipline in this year's National Dog Show (you can see the post HERE), and whose competition consists in performing jumps and stunts to catch the disc. In Spain it's an emerging activity, but in the U.S. there are about 1 million dogs that practice it with their owners. Best of all, it is an affordable hobby, because you only need to have a frisbee, and is an excellent opportunity to increase the rapport between dog and owner, while we exercise our dog agility. As you can see in the pictures below, Laia agility allows her playing with the frisbee restless (proof of this is the attrition of the disc ...).

El Dog Frisbee es un deporte en que se lanzan discos al aire para que nuestro perro lo capture. Pudimos ver una exhibición de esta disciplina en la Exposición Nacional Canina de este año (post que podéis ver AQUÍ), y cuya competición consiste en la realización de saltos y acrobacias para atrapar el disco. en España es una actividad emergente, pero en EEUU lo practican alrededor de 1 millón de perros con sus dueños. Lo mejor de todo es que es un hobbie accesible, debido a que sólo se necesita tener un frisbee, y es una excelente oportunidad para incrementar la compenetración entre perro y amo, a la vez que ejercitamos la agilidad de nuestro perro. Como podéis ver en las siguientes imágenes, la agilidad de Laia le permite jugar con el frisbee sin descanso (prueba de ello es el desgaste que presenta el disco...). 

Crónica de la 64 y 65 Exposición Nacional Canina

Yesterday it was a VERY canine day in Vigo, certainly. As we discussed in the blog, we took Laia and Luna to the 64 and 65 National Dog Show C.A.C., held yesterday in Vigo fairground (IFEVI). We could enjoy Agility World Championship selective training, Dog Fresbee Exhibition, the exhibition of dogs of all races, but especially, the great atmosphere that animals, owners and the general public  shared enclosure. For a few hours, those who showed their pets, as those who admired them shared their experiences, anecdotes, with the dog as a link. We have beautiful photos of dogs from about 100 different breeds. We will make a selection and we will show you on the blog. 

The downside was that we didn't saw many Jack Russells, but we had the opportunity to meet Lucca, a beautiful broken-haired Jack Russell born in Asturias but residing in Vigo. Thanks to its pleasant owners for telling your story and letting us share your photo in PuroTerrier.

La de ayer fue una jornada MUY canina en Vigo, sin lugar a dudas. Como ya habíamos comentado en el blog, nos llevamos a Luna y a Laia a la  64 y 65 Exposición Nacional Canina C.A.C., que se celebró ayer el en Recinto ferial de Vigo (IFEVI). Pudimos disfrutar de las pruebas de Agility selectivas para el Campeonato del Mundo, de exhibiciones de Dog Fresbee, de la exposición de canes cuidadísimos de todo tipo de razas, pero sobre todo, del buen ambiente que animales, dueños y público en general compartió en el recinto. Por unas horas, tanto quiénes mostraban a sus mascotas, como quiénes admiraban compartieron sus experiencias, anécdotas, con el perro como nexo de unión. Tenemos fotos preciosas de perros de unas 100 razas diferentes. Haremos una selección y os las iremos mostrando en el blog. 

La nota negativa fue que apenas vimos Jack Russells, pero sí tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer a Lucca, una bonita Jack Russell con pelo broken nacida en Asturias pero con residencia en Vigo. Gracias a sus agradables dueños por contarnos su historia y permitirnos compartir su foto en PuroTerrier.
