Celebramos el segundo cumpleaños de Laia

El pasado viernes 20 de diciembre celebramos el segundo cumpleaños de nuestra Puro Terrier Laia, que sus dueños Pedro y Eva habían organizado con especial esmero. Y os estaréis preguntado: ¿cómo se celebra un cumpleaños perruno? Pues ahora os lo contamos, con reportaje fotográfico incluido.
On past Friday December 20th we celebrated the second birthday of our Puro Terrier Laia, that her owners Peter and Eva organized with special care. And you might be asking: how does a doggy birthday is celebrated? Now we'll tell you, with photo essay included.

El lugar de encuentro fue nuestro habitual espacio de liberación de energía: la playa. Allí asistimos todos los Puro Terrier (Luna, Piñón, Herba y la cumpleañera Laia) y un invitado muy especial: Cholo, al que ya pudimos ver en Puro Terrier felicitándonos la Navidad.
The meeting place was our usual energy release space: the beach. There we attended all Puro Terrier (Luna, Pinion, Herba and Laia, the birthday girl) and a very special guest: Cholo, which we already saw in Puro Terrier congratulating Christmas.

Una vez calmados después de tanta carrera de un lado a otro de la playa, de compartir juegos entre ellos y ladrar y "acosar" a los demás perros de la playa (...) nos dirigimos a casa de la anfitriona cumpleañera.
Once calm after so many races in the beach, of share games between them and barked and "harass" the other dogs from the beach (...) we headed home from the hostess birthday girl.

Y todos los invitados pudieron degustar los manjares del banquete preparado, algunos con sus gorritos de fiesta :-)

Un baño a tres

¡Los baños en la casa Puro Terrier son la mar de entretenidos! Con dos señoras y un caballero perrunos a los que atender, cada uno con su carácter y con sus miedos, os podéis hacer una idea. Sorprendentemente, el que mejor lo lleva es Piñón, que pese a ser el más pequeño es al que más le gusta el agua, el ser masajeado con champú, y se deja hacer de todo. En cambio Luna y Herba lo llevan con resignación... les cuesta el momento de entrar en la bañera y mojarse y en cuanto pueden empiezan con el centrifugado ¡poniendo todo perdido! Baths in Puro Terrier home are very entertained! With two ladies and a gentleman doggy to attend to, each with their character and with their fears, you can make an idea. Surprisingly, the best run it Piñon, who despite being the smallest one, he's who loves the water the most, loves being massaged with shampoo, and let him do everything. Instead, Herba and Luna carry it with resignation ... It's hard for them the time to get into the tub and get wet and when they can they begin with the spin! Juegos entre mayores y pequeños

Good morning! This will be a short post, but I want you to stay with the essence of the video that I attach. It involves Piñón (1 month and 1 week) and Herba (9 years). So you can see the good behaviour of Herba with the new litter. And it is not easy being almost Granny "hold" to 6 kiddies who just want to play. So she has no other choice but to play along and participate ... Bravo for Herba! You're going to see that there is a moment that Luna appears ... she, as a good mother, is always attentive to their cherubs ...Bravo for Luna too!

¡Buenos días! Éste va a ser un post breve, pero quiero que os quedéis con la esencia del vídeo que os adjunto.Tuvo lugar entre Piñón (1 mes y 1 semana) y Herba (9 años). Para que veais lo bien que se porta Herba con la nueva camada. Y es que no es fácil siendo casi abuelita "aguantar" a 6 pequeñajos que lo único que quieren es jugar. Así que no le queda otro remedio que seguirles el juego y participar... ¡Bravo por Herba! Vais a ver que hay un momento en el que se acerca Luna... ella, como buena madre que es, siempre está atenta a sus querubines... ¡Bravo por Luna también!

Un bañito al calor del verano

Yesterday was bath time... but it was a bath as Luna and Herba didn't had since long time: outdoors. Taking advantage of the heat that has arrived on time with the beginning of summer, the bathroom has been in the sun, with almost cold water and without any towel or dryer to finish. Chilly, very chilly have become both. But the ritual of the "spin" non-stop shaking, and the rolling in the grass trying to remove the clean smell, had not fail ...

Ayer tocó baño... pero ha sido un baño como hacía tiempo que no se lo daban Luna y Herba: al aire libre. Aprovechando el calor que ha llegado puntual con el comienzo del verano, el baño ha podido ser bajo el sol, con agua casi fría y sin toalla ni secador al finalizar. Fresquitas, muy fresquitas se han quedado las dos. Eso sí, el ritual del "centrifugado" sacudiéndose sin parar, y el intentar revolcarse en la hierba para quitarse el olor a limpio no ha fallado...

Spring walk

In this late spring arriving that does not reach, there are days you want walking in the countryside covered with flowers. Luna and Herba enjoy both! A lot of encouragement despite the cloudy day in most of Spain,  tomorrow is Friday!!! Another subject: This is PuroTerrier's number 100 post , so we congratulate ourselves :-)

En esta primavera tardía que llega no termina de llegar, hay días en los que apetece pasear por el campo, ya cubierto de flores. ¡Y bien que los disfrutan tanto luna como Herba! Mucho ánimo a pesar de lo nublado del día en casi toda España, que mañana es ¡¡¡viernes!!! Ah, y otro tema: éste es el post número 100 de Puro Terrier, así que nos felicitamos a nosotros mismos :-D

Identified / Identificadas

Today we'll show the new Luna and Herba complements. But besides being very stylish with these bone-shaped pendant, their role is very important. They have recorded our phone number to identify them if they are lost (hopefully never happens) and someone to find. On the Internet you can find different opinions regarding the identification of your pet. Our advice is to indicate only the phone number, not their name, as so whoever finds it can not call it by name. But each owner can indicate the information they deems important in case of loss. If you are interested in this type of badges are very economical. These cost 1 euro each in a pet store and engraving mobile 5 euros in a jewelry store.

Hoy os vamos a enseñar los nuevos complementos de Luna y Herba. Pero además de estar muy elegantes con estos colgantes en forma de hueso, su función es muy importante. Llevan grabadas nuestro número de teléfono para poder identificarlas en caso de que se pierdan (esperemos que nunca pase) y alguien las encuentre. Por la red podéis encontrar diversas opiniones acerca de la identificación de vuestras mascotas. Nuestro consejo es indicar sólo el número de teléfono, y no su nombre, ya que de este modo quien lo encuentre no podrá llamarlo por su nombre. Pero bueno, cada dueño indica la información que considera importante en caso de pérdida. Si os interesan este tipo de chapitas son muy económicas. Éstas que os enseñamos costó 1 euro cada una en una tienda de mascotas y el grabado de los teléfonos 5 euros en una joyería.
    

 

 

Vento y Sela : New Friends!

Today we bring you two new friends in Pure Terrier: Vento and Sela, two Jack Russell Terrier living in Lugo that we could meet last week. Vento is a male, bicolor and is one and a half. He loves to play and has a lot of agility. Sela is a female, tricolor, as Luna, is nearly three years, is quieter than Vento and always takes care of their owners. Both live and play together and protect each other, they are complementary. Herba and Luna had the opportunity to play with them and all four had a good time in Sanxenxo. We hope to see you again soon and ...Welcome to Pure Terrier!

Hoy os traemos dos nuevos amigos en Puro Terrier: Vento y Sela, dos Jack Russell Terrier residentes en Lugo que pudimos conocer la semana pasada. Vento es macho, bicolor y tiene año y medio. Le gusta mucho jugar y tiene agilidad para dar u tomar. Sela es hembra, tricolor, como Luna, tiene casi tres años, es más tranquila que Vento y siempre está pendiente de sus amos. Ambos viven juntos y juegan y se protegen el uno al otro, ya que se complementan. Luna y Herba tuvieron la oportunidad de jugar con ellos y los cuatro pasaron un buen rato en Sanxenxo. Esperamos volver veros pronto y... ¡Bienvenidos a Puro Terrier!

Today we leave you with some pictures and videos of the walk by the mountain yesterday afternoon, taking advantage of the truce that the rains have given us in Vigo and surrounding areas. It is certainly the best way for the Jack Russell to release his inexhaustible energy: walking, running, enjoying, as in this case Herba and Luna, whose great hobby is to chase any animal on the walk (birds, lizards, rodents) and of course, their beloved BALL (in capital letters).

Hoy os dejamos con unas fotos y vídeos del paseo por el monte de ayer por la tarde, aprovechando la tregua que las lluvias nos han dado en Vigo y alrededores. Sin duda es la mejor forma que tienen los Jack Russell de liberar su inagotable energía: pasear, correr, disfrutar, como en este caso Luna y Herba, cuya gran afición es perseguir cualquier animalillo que se encuentren en el paseo (pajaritos, lagartijas, roedores) y como no, su adorada PELOTA (con mayúsculas).

At least we could see the sun! After last week's rains in northwestern Spain (and in most of the peninsula) today they gave us a little breath and the sun has been with us. Some great walks along the beaches of O Grove (Pontevedra) and at the end of the day, Luna and Herba have fallen almost dead as you can see in the last photo ...

¡...y por fin el sol se dejó ver! Tras la dura semana de lluvias en el noroeste de España (bueno, y en casi toda la península) hoy nos han dado una pequeña tregua y el sol nos ha acompañado. Unos buenos paseos por las playas de O Grove (Pontevedra) y al final del día, Luna y Herba han caído rendiditas como podéis apreciar en la última foto...
